Returning to work after layoff
The fixed-term layoffs imposed in the spring are coming to an end. Restrictions have been lifted and many businesses are reopening. How does this affect earnings-related daily allowance applications?
We are delighted to see so many of our members returning to work. Another reason to rejoice is the fact that the reopening of the economy has little impact on earnings-related daily allowance applications. All you have to do is keep applying for your daily allowance up to the date on which you are due to return to work and mention the fact that you are returning to work in your application.
If you are returning to work on a part-time basis, you can continue to withdraw your earnings-related daily allowance. You just need to declare the hours that you will be working in your application. We will also need some information about the terms of your employment, details about which can be found on our website.
