It’s great that we have been able to help you
Our extensive surveys indicate that despite the congestion of applications during the spring and summer our members are satisfied with the service they have received.
In late August we surveyed again the situation of our members and their estimates of the employment situation and opinion about YTK’s operations. We worked hard to get the money to you as soon as possible. The results show that our members think that we did well.
Hello! Our telephone service is again open on Fridays, too
As a result of the coronavirus crisis our customer service got jammed. We had to limit the opening hours of our telephone service to be able to respond also to written messages through OmaYTK. The situation has been relieved, and we have been able to answer all messages within a couple of days for some time now.
Backlog due to the coronavirus crisis has been cleared, processing times are at a good level
We received a record-high number of applications for earnings-related daily allowance due to the coronavirus crisis. By the beginning of September this year the applications numbered 556,318, while the total number for last year was 317,304 applications.
Good to know if your lay-off ends in termination of employment
Some of the lay-offs that started in the spring have lasted until the autumn, and many companies are also currently holding co-operation negotiations. Hence it is possible that for some of you the lay-off ends in termination of employment.
If your lay-off ends in termination of employment, you should mention it in your application for daily allowance. Otherwise you can continue to apply for daily allowance as per normal. You need not make any changes e.g. in the application period.
