Activation model to be repealed

Committee proposed that Parliament pass the Government Proposal on cancelling the activation model (HE 80/2019).
Parliament will vote on it at a later date.

Incomes Register will affect the application for earnings-related daily allowance

As of the beginning of 2020, YTK will start to retrieve income information directly from the national Incomes Register. That will reduce the need for separate salary certificates. There will be some changes in the application for earnings-related daily allowance. In the future we will need fewer attachments to applications, and at the same time we will ask for some more information in the actual application.

Small increase in unemployment security

An increase in the level of basic daily allowance will enter into force on 1 January 2020. The increase will also concern the labour market subsidy, the amount of which is the same as basic daily allowance. The change will also affect the amount of earnings-related daily allowance and alternation compensation in accordance with the Alternation Leave Act. The change in the amount of earnings-related daily allowance will be small.

Age limits for additional days will change

There will be some changes to the right to additional days (Government Proposal HE 83/2019). The changes will fit unemployment security and pension cover better together. If passed, the amendment will enter into force on 1 January 2020.
