Increase in earnings disregard under consideration

According to the information in the media, the Government has agreed on solutions for organising seasonal labour in agriculture.

One of the proposed solutions agreed on is that the protection for income in unemployment benefits would be increased from 300 euros to 500 euros. The earnings disregard allows for small-scale employment without the income affecting the earnings-related daily allowance.

The conditions for mobility allowance have also been proposed to be relieved.

The precise details are not known. Neither is it known at what time such reforms would enter into force.
