Compilation of the validity of corona virus changes

Due to the coronavirus, numerous exceptions have been made to unemployment security, and these exceptions have been extended at various stages. Here's a compilation of how these changes apply.

Amendments related to the payment of earnings-related daily allowance

subsidies from Kela if their income from self-employment

The maximum payment period for which
an earnings-related daily allowance
can be paid will not be affected
​​​​​​​by any time spent on lay-off.
Applies to lay-offs that have begun

For these individuals, the clock
on the maximum payment period

until 30 June 2020.
The exception has since been extended
by another amendment

The maximum payment period
for which an earnings-related daily allowance can be paid

is not accumulated from 1 July

The working condition of earnings-related daily allowance
​​​​​​​ is 13 weeks.
We may use a reduced working condition
if the usual working condition of
26 calendar weeks is not met
and the maximum payment period
is not in progress.
In addition,
the condition is that the working condition
has accumulated one week
after 1 March 2020
and the payment of
earnings-related daily allowance
will begin no later than ​​​​​​​
31 December 2020.
The working condition

from the very first day of unemployment
