Clock stopped on the maximum payment period / not valid
As of July, the clock on the maximum payment period for an earnings-related daily allowance has been stopped altogether. This emergency measure will remain in place until the end of the year, and it applies equally to unemployed job seekers, furloughed workers, part-time employees and individuals who get some of their income from self-employment.
This change expired at the end of the year 2020.

Earnings-related daily allowances paid on or after 1 July 2020 will not use up any of the maximum period of time for which unemployment benefits can normally be paid. The maximum payment period will resume running on 1 January 2021.
