Important notes on the membership fee
Your membership will stay valid only if you pay the membership fee.
The membership fee has to be paid even when you are unemployed, studying, on maternity leave, on care leave or performing military service. This way you will secure that the period of employment and the period of membership are preserved.
If your membership ends during a new period of membership fee due to for example retirement, pay the whole sum nevertheless. When you have sent YTK the resignation notice, we will return you the leftover part of the membership fee you have paid.
NB! An amount under 10 euros will not be returned and the returned membership fee does not collect interest.
If you are a recipient of a benefit, the membership fee is charged from the benefit to be paid after the due date.
As you pay the invoice, always use the reference number so that the fee is directed correctly.
The membership fee is tax-deductible on the year of its payment. YTK notifies the tax authorities directly of paid membership fees.
An unpaid membership fee leads to suspension from the unemployment fund as from the day the membership fee is not paid.
General Unemployment Fund YTK has no separate student membership and grants no exemption for the membership fee during studies. The YTK Association, however, offers a free student membership which is intended for young people entering the working life. That membership covers all services of the YTK Association but does not include membership in the fund.
