The membership fee of the YTK unemployment fund is tied to the length of membership. The year you join or resign from the fund you will only pay the proportion of the annual fee that corresponds to the length of your membership. In 2023, the annual membership fee of the unemployment fund, i.e. the fund membership, is 99 €.

If you wish, we can send the invoice for your membership fee directly to your online bank service by giving us an authorisation for e-invoicing. In your online bank, select Yleinen työttömyyskassa YTK as the sender. The membership fee of the YTK Association that entitles you to a combined membership is a fixed fee for a calendar year. This sum must be paid in full regardless of when you join or resign from the association. In 2023, the fee for the calendar year is 24 €.

E-INVOICE: YTK ASSOCIATION

If you wish, we can send the invoice for your membership fee directly to your online bank service by giving us an authorisation for e-invoicing. In your online bank, select YTK-Yhdistys ry as the sender. You need your YTK Association membership number to make the authorisation.

Combined members will receive separate invoices for the two membership fees.

Invoicing

When you join us, we will send you an invoice for the membership fee within a week from joining. Pay the membership fee according to the invoice and your membership will begin from the day we received your membership application.

If you are a member already, we will send you the invoice on the membership fee at the beginning of the year. When you pay the membership fee by the due date, your membership will remain valid without interruptions.

Important notes on the membership fee

  • Your membership will remain valid only if you pay the membership fee.

  • You must pay the membership fee even when you are unemployed, studying, on maternity leave, on childcare leave, or performing military service. This way you can make sure that you retain your employment history and membership.

  • If you know that your membership will end during a new membership fee period due to retirement, for example, you should still pay the entire amount. When we receive your resignation notice, we will refund the amount of membership fee left over.

NB! We will not refund amounts under €10, and we will not pay interest for the refunded amount of membership fees.

  • If you receive an allowance paid by the YTK and you have not paid your membership fee, we will deduct the membership fee from your allowance after the due date.
  • When you pay the invoice, always use the reference number so that we know who the payment is for.
  • The membership fee is tax-deductible on the year you pay it. We will notify the tax authorities of paid membership fees.
  • If you do not pay your membership fee, we will cancel your membership from the day the membership fee is not paid.

Student members

At the General Unemployment Fund YTK, we have no separate student membership and we grant no exemption for the membership fee during your studies. However, the YTK Association offers a free student membership for young people entering the working life. This membership covers all services of the YTK Association but does not include a membership in the unemployment fund.
