What is increased earnings-related daily allowance and who is entitled to receive it?

If you participate in employment promoting activities, we can pay you an increased earnings-related daily allowance for 200 days.

You can agree with the TE Office on employment promoting services that are suited to you. We will get the information on your participation through a statement given by the TE Office. Remember to also report your participation  in your application for daily allowance.

This is how we calculate the increased daily allowance:  the earnings-related part is 55% of the difference between your daily salary and the basic part (without the increase, it is 45%). For the part of your salary that is over the income limit, the increased earnings-related part is 25% of the difference between your daily salary and the basic part (without the increase, it is 20%).

Previously, an increased earnings-related daily allowance was also paid if you had  a long career. After the law was changed, that no longer applies.
