Incomes Register

The Incomes Register is a national online database. It contains comprehensive information on individuals’ wages, pensions and benefits. Data providers report individuals’ earnings to the Incomes Register in real time, whenever a payment is made.

The Incomes Register was introduced at the beginning of 2019. Since then, details on salaries and other earned income have been reported to the register. Pensions and benefits will be reported to the register as of 2021.

YTK will start to retrieve salary information from the Incomes Register as of the beginning 2020. In practice, it will change the applying for earnings-related daily allowance to some degree, as we will no longer need a separate salary certificate. We will not get all information required for the payment of a benefit from the Incomes Register, so we will ask for some information separately. Our online service will guide in such cases.

The Incomes Register is maintained by the Incomes Register Unit of the Finnish Tax Administration.
