Earnings-related daily allowance is formed by the basic part, which is the amount of the currently valid basic daily allowance, and the earnings-related part, based on your salary, previous to your unemployment. The amount of the basic part is 32.40 euros per day in 2017. The earnings-related portion of the daily allowance is 45 % of the difference between your daily salary (upon which the daily allowance is based on) and the basic part (basic daily allowance). Salary upon which the daily allowance is based
If your monthly salary, which is the basis for daily allowance, is larger than 3 078,00 euros, your earnings-related portion will be 20 per cent of your daily salary for the portion that goes over the limit.
If you are entitled to increased earnings-related daily allowance, your earnings-related part is bigger than previously stated.
The amount of your daily allowance can be calculated with the YTK’s daily allowance counter.
If you take care of children under the age 18, the earnings-related daily allowance is paid increased with a child increment. In 2017 it is 5,23 € per one child, 7,68 € for two children together and 9,90 € for three or more children together.
The child increment is applied for with the initial daily allowance application. If the number of children changes, notify the fund for example in the continuing application’s ”additional information” part.
