The duration of alternation leave is at least 100 consecutive calendar days and a maximum of 180 calendar days. You´ll have to keep your alternation leave in one period, which can be from 100 days to 180 days. You can extend your alternation leave period. The employer and the employee can agree on prolonging the alternation leave but the agreement must be done two months before the end of the agreed alternation leave. The duration cannot however be longer than 180 calendar days even in this situation. The alternation leave must be taken completely during two years of its beginning.
If the alternating employee returns to work temporarily during the alternation, the alternation leave continues during and after the working period as agreed in the original agreement.
If the agreement of alternation leave has made before 31.12.2015 and the alternation leave starts before 31.3.2016 the duration of alternation leave is 100-360 days.
